Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Wales
Cyfathrebu Di-drais (NVC) Cymru
What's happening in Wales? / Beth sy'n digwydd yng Nghymru?
Whilst, on the surface, there may appear to be not so many NVC trainers in Wales (yet!) , in fact there is more going on under the surface than it first appears. For example there are a growing number of NVC learners and enthusiasts sprinkled across Wales
This page brings together people, learning opportunities, and events across Wales.
Here you can discover experienced NVC practitioners who are applying NVC in community, organisational, educational, and professional settings.
Whether you are new to NVC, looking for training, seeking practice opportunities, or wanting to connect with others interested in NVC, also known as Empathic or Compassionate Communication, you'll find a range of ways to get involved, learn, and participate in Wales.
NVC Facilitators in Wales / Hwyluswyr NVC yng Nghymru
The facilitators featured below are the members of NVC Matters UK (CIC) who are based in Wales.
- Those who have been certified with the global Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) are clearly marked*
- Those that aren't CNVC certified still have a good level of experience in living and sharing NVC**Â
*CNVC is the international non-profit organisation founded by Marshall Rosenberg. This organisation is the only globally recognised organisation to offer assessment and certification for trainers.
**You can see what we at NVC Matters ask from our members before we will list them in the FAQs hereÂ

NVC and the Welsh Language / NVC a'r Gymraeg
At the heart of Nonviolent Communication is the belief that every person matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and strong communities are built through understanding, empathy and connection. These values feel deeply at home in Wales.
As NVC facilitators, we recognise that language is far more than a way of communicating. It carries history, identity, belonging and culture. We believe that supporting Cymraeg (the Welsh language) is one way of helping these rich traditions continue to flourish for future generations.
We are a small, volunteer-led organisation with limited resources, but we are committed to making Nonviolent Communication (NVC) more accessible through Cymraeg. Our hope is to support people in learning and practising NVC in the language that feels most natural to them.
As we grow, we hope to:
- Develop Welsh-language feelings and needs cards to support learning and everyday practice.
- Encourage schools, organisations and communities across Wales to use NVC as a practical way of navigating conflict, deepening relationships and building compassionate, connected cultures.
- Translate more NVC resources into Welsh, including Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, making these ideas available to more people in their first language.
This page is our first small step. We look forward to continuing this journey, working alongside Welsh speakers and the wider NVC community to make these resources increasingly available in both Welsh and English.

Wrth galon Cyfathrebu Di-drais (NVC) mae'r gred fod pob person yn bwysig, fod pob llais yn haeddu cael ei glywed, ac mai drwy ddealltwriaeth, empathi a chysylltiad y caiff cymunedau cryf eu hadeiladu. Mae'r gwerthoedd hyn yn teimlo'n gwbl gartrefol yng Nghymru.
Fel hwyluswyr NVC, rydym yn cydnabod bod iaith yn llawer mwy na ffordd o gyfathrebu. Mae'n cario hanes, hunaniaeth, ymdeimlad o berthyn a diwylliant. Credwn fod cefnogi'r Gymraeg yn un ffordd o helpu'r traddodiadau cyfoethog hyn i ffynnu ar gyfer cenedlaethau'r dyfodol.
Rydym yn sefydliad bach sy'n cael ei arwain gan wirfoddolwyr ac sydd ag adnoddau cyfyngedig. Er hynny, rydym wedi ymrwymo i wneud Cyfathrebu Di-drais yn fwy hygyrch drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg. Ein gobaith yw cefnogi pobl i ddysgu ac ymarfer NVC yn yr iaith sy'n teimlo fwyaf naturiol iddynt.
Wrth i'n sefydliad dyfu, ein dyhead yw:
- Datblygu cardiau teimladau ac anghenion yn Gymraeg i gefnogi dysgu ac ymarfer bob dydd.
- Annog ysgolion, sefydliadau a chymunedau ledled Cymru i ddefnyddio NVC fel ffordd ymarferol o lywio gwrthdaro, meithrin perthnasoedd dyfnach ac adeiladu diwylliannau mwy tosturiol a chysylltiedig.
- Cyfieithu rhagor o adnoddau NVC i'r Gymraeg, gan gynnwys llyfr Marshall Rosenberg, Cyfathrebu Di-drais: Iaith Bywyd (Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life), fel bod y syniadau hyn ar gael i fwy o bobl yn eu hiaith gyntaf.
Dyma ein cam cyntaf ar y daith hon. Edrychwn ymlaen at barhau arni ochr yn ochr â siaradwyr Cymraeg a'r gymuned NVC ehangach, gan wneud yr adnoddau hyn yn fwyfwy ar gael yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg.
